What is co-occurring disorder treatment in Springfield, MA? If you’re experiencing a mental health disorder alongside addiction, this is the type of targeted treatment you need.
Discover how addiction and mental health care are integrated to provide the most effective treatment for recovery in Springfield, MA.
Understanding Co-Occurring Disorders and Addiction
Substance abuse and mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, or PTSD are typically interwoven and exacerbate one another. When treating substance use disorder, it is critical to also address these co-occurring conditions.
Treating either condition in isolation poses a risk of relapse. By addressing both simultaneously through co-occurring disorder treatment in Springfield MA, treatment can lead to more stable, long-term recovery. This dual diagnosis addiction and mental health care approach is the gold standard for treatment.
