Bradley’s Story

“On February 3rd, 2026, I made one of the most important decisions of my life: I walked through the doors of Boca Recovery Center in New Jersey for a 21-day stay. Arriving at 2am completely shattered in every way. I went there after spending too long trying to deal with the grief and pain of my divorce and past trauma. I was drinking instead of actually processing what I was going through. Along the way, I lost my dependability, my focus, and a lot of the person I knew myself to be. Those 21 days gave me something I desperately needed—the tools to cope instead of escape. I learned how to process grief, face uncomfortable emotions, rebuild trust in myself, and open up instead of keeping everything bottled up. The relationships I built with the other residents and the staff became a huge part of that process. From the nurses and counselors to the chefs and housekeeping staff, every person at Boca Recovery played a part in making that experience what it was. Their support, patience, and willingness to meet me where I was helped me start putting my life back together. Going to Boca wasn’t just 21 days away from home. It was a life-changing decision that gave me a chance to find my focus, rebuild myself, and move forward. I’m proud of how far I’ve come—and even more grateful that I finally chose to do something different.”
