Amanda’s Story

“Before Coming I to treatment I was a mess. I couldn’t stand myself and the people around me couldn’t stand me either. My addiction had ruined my life.

When I decided I needed help I went into Boca Recovery in a Florida location. This was the best choice I could have ever made. The staff was so kind and they truly cared about me and my situation. I was so nervous when I got there, but the staff was so easy with me. They didn’t push me, but they were supportive. Boca gave me hope that my life could improve and get better. They gave me hope that I could beat my addiction.

Today I am still clean! 11 months! My life has changed so much for the better. After this next semester I will have completed my associates degree at a local community college and I will be moving onto my bachelor’s in the spring. My husband is no longer divorcing me and our relationship is actually great! My kids are learning to trust me again and open up to me again. My parents have said over and over how proud they are of me they are, and I never heard that from them ever!

Life is not rainbows and sunshine all the time, but I am so glad I chose Boca Recovery to help me learn how to handle the hard stuff sober! They truly saved my life!”
