Alisha’s Story

“June 26th 2025 is my sober date and June 25th 2025 is the day that I realized I was powerless over alcohol, that my life had become completely unmanageable . I had hurt or broken most of my relationships with the people that I love the most.
I wanted to take my life, I thought I was more valuable dead than alive.
I called a crisis helpline.
After I spoke with somebody locally, I realized that I needed to go to inpatient treatment.
I didn’t know where to start so I googled alcohol rehabilitation near me. I got a 1-800 number and got connected with Anthony who worked with me to find Boca recovery in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Anthony was the angel to help me see that I needed a 28-day detox program. He walked me through the process and I was admitted into Boca the next day.
Boca offered me a full well-rounded mental, emotional, physical and addictive treatment program. The therapist, the staff, the facilitators and the faculty members all were part of my recovery in the best way possible. I learned so much about myself ,about why I’m an addict and how my addiction works. I was given skills and tools through classroom and one-on-one therapy sessions to learn how to live a sober life.
At the end of my 28 days, I realized that I could use more help so that I would never have to return to rehabilitation again. So I chose to do a PHP and an IOP program for a total of 90 days of treatment . I’ve been sober ever since and my life has miraculously turned around and I’m a completely different person for the better.
I would recommend Boca detox and residential treatment to anyone looking for a full well-rounded program that gets to the heart of your addiction.
Thank you Boca
Alisha A.”
