The county saw a steady increase in overdose deaths between 2018 and 2021 as well. There were a record 106 overdose deaths in 2021 with nearly 60% of those deaths connected to fentanyl use. Drug overdose deaths have declined in the county, with a reported 42 deaths recorded in 2024.
