Seniors covered under Medicare can use it to help offset the costs of addiction treatment.
In a city the size of Columbus, there’s a range of services to help people transition from treatment to sober living. We’ve shared three here, but there are many more free and low cost resources available to individuals and families affected by addiction
NaloxBox Program
The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Franklin County provides several support resources for people struggling with substance use. The NaloxBox Program provides free overdose prevention kits in kiosks located throughout the county.
The Soar Initiative
One huge problem with illicit opioids is that it’s impossible to know whether something poisonous was added during manufacturing. The Soar Initiative provides a number you can text, and they will send text alerts about dangerous drugs found in your area.
Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
This department offers a wealth of valuable information to help city residents learn more about addiction, find care for loved ones, and seek the help they need. This includes links to recovery housing residences, peer support services, and drug court information.
In a city as large as Columbus, it can feel a bit overwhelming to find the drug and alcohol rehab program that fits your unique circumstances. Most people do better in a personalized program rather than relying only on what everyone else is doing.
At Boca Recovery Center, we sit down with you and listen to your story so we can learn more about your needs. Then, we’ll work collaboratively to build your individualized treatment plan.
Call us and talk with a treatment specialist who can suggest next steps and tell you more about the comprehensive addiction treatment programs we offer.
